Network Design Advice

Currently, have ATT Fiber 1Gbps into an ATT Uverse NVG599 Gateway with Wi-Fi disabled and passthrough to a Netgear R7800 all on an APC SUA1500RM2U.

My overall problem is I need more devices hardwired and the ATT Gateway only has 4 ports as well as the Netgear R7800, therefore I’m in the market for a switch.

My plan is to eventually have from ONT to NVG599, (port 1 to multicast DVR STB), (port 2 to R7800) for Wi-Fi only, and then (port 3 to the switch) and all my devices connected to it. The Plex Server, APC is rackmount and I’d like the switch to as well, but can be fine with the desktop model as well.

On the switch I would be connecting:

1 Plex Server

1 Gaming Desktop

1 Color LaserJet MFP

1 Xbox One

1 OBI 202 VoIP

1 4k Smart TV

1 Denon Receiver

To the R7800 via Wi-Fi I would be connecting:

1 Desktop

3 Cell Phones

1 1080 Smart Tv

1 720 Smart Tv

2 Tablets

1 Smart A/C

It would be nice if in the future I could connect 1 PoE camera, but it’s not a high priority at the moment. The Plex Server (18TB) gets the most traffic about 5 transcodes at a time, but the dual E5-2643 V2’s and GTX1070 handle them well, the Xbox streams all day long, and 4K Tv streams a lot as well. The 1 Desktop is using a USB 3.0 Wi-Fi adapter with an extension cable and still gets a fair connection, I’d like my Wi-Fi signal to reach further as it currently has to penetrate 3 walls and about 30ft total. Choices are eventually a better Wi-Fi router or a couple AP’s, or a longer extension cable.

At first, I thought I would need to get 1 switch that would cover everything including the multicast traffic, but I think I can just leave that 1 STB on the NVG599 and switch/router everything else, therefore I guess I don’t really need a managed switch and maybe just a simple one like:

TP-Link SG108

Netgear GS108v2/v3

Cisco SG100D-08v2

Edge routers are out of my price range so if there is an older or newer switch I’m not aware of I’m open to suggestions as well as feedback on the above 3. Thanks in advance.
