Granted, I've tried about 10 games of Ground War and it just wasn't for me. Everyone was camping in buildings with 15 claymores at each entrance, regardless of platform.
I'm a 6v6 player primarily, and I decided to try out Crossplay in TDM for the day. The difference is honestly incredible.
If there was a Bell Curve for how people play, Xbox players cluster around the center of it. Everyone plays the same, camping with the same weapons in the same locations with the same claymores protecting them. If you play against better or worse players, they just camp better or worse. That's the only difference.
But PC players are far more spread out on the Bell Curve. In the same lobby, there will be PC players who I assume are toddlers just learning to play, and PC players running around getting sliding 720 hip-fire triple-kills all game. The playstyles on PC are way more diverse for some reason, as are the skill levels.
I cannot explain this difference at all, but it's really got me dumbfounded. I hate the game so much when playing against Xbox players, because the matches are like Groundhog Day. But when the pool includes PC players, suddenly it's a whole different game. A lot of the times I do get melted by the KB&M, but at least people are actually moving around.
