I use my monitor's 'HDMI 2' input for both ps4 and xbox one. i can boot the console and switch to HDMI 2 and things are normal. however, if i switch back to HDMI 1, which is my PC's input, then back to HDMI 2, the screen is black. monitor still recognizes the signal since the screen does NOT display 'NO SIGNAL.' and i can see the console via OBS or Elgato's software.
the only work around on both ps4 and xbox one is to go into the console settings, change the display options temporarily (say 1080 > 720) then back to 1080 and the display works again.
so any ideas? HDMI cable issue? software issue? monitor issue?
