Hey guys
So I recently bought a shield to act as my plex client
Previously I've always used xbox ones which have worked well enough, but I don't like their treatment of audio.
So I've been trying to use the Shield however I cannot get it to play and videos. I've tried a variety of files (4k, 1080, 720, with or without subtitles etc) and no luck.
The only file I could get to play was when I continuing watching a show that had already beeb commenced. All others just get the spinning wheel for a bit then fail.
All of these same shows play fine of the xbox, which confuses me as I though the shield was supposed to be a better client in general.
Anyway, I assume I am doing something wrong with my setup. Is anyone able to give me some tips on how to set this up so that it direct plays everything with no issues.
My server is a NAS so I need to avoid transcoding
