Suggested Features

  • Upgrade Reorganization (Ship and Multi Tools) - Ability to reorganize upgrades without losing them. Since upgrades have a bonus affect on upgrades of the same category in close proximity it would be nice if you could arrangement without having to destroy them. Either that or the bonus effect works regardless of its proximity to other upgrades. I only mean swapping it from slot x to slot y. Not removing it and putting it back in your inventory.
  • Selling Ships - Ability to sell extra ships.
  • Upgrade Modules Selling - Ability to sell upgrade modules that have not yet be installed
  • Planetary Map - A map of some sort when you touch down on a planet. My thoughts are just a blank globe void of any terrain, locations, etc and as you walk/fly around the globe would be filled it. See Also Satellites & Drones below.
  • Solar System Map - A map of the solar system you are in. Would be nice to bring up map of the solar system and plan your flight path. Basic info just the sun and planets. If you have visited the planet it could tell you so and identity the name and its resources just as you would see when in space after a planetary scan.
  • Landing & Tagging - Please change the Land and Tag feature to seperate buttons or something. Too many times I have launched from the planet and not thinking been too close to the ground, tag a building far off and as soon as the tagging feature finishes my ship lands. Too many times this has been when I am low of fuel and now don't have enough to take off again.
  • Resource Teleportation to Ship - Please increase the range of the teleport resources to ship. I installed this and it only seems to work for maybe a few hundred yards before I am out of range I could understand if there was a line of sight requirement.
  • Satellites and/or Drones. Would be nice to build a satellite or drone that can be used to map the planet, located structures, surface resources, etc.
    • As far as drones maybe the ability to take over/reprogram a sentinel or capture a sentinel and read it scanning logs
    • Satellites could maybe also tie into the resource teleporter to ships
  • Mission log please list the full description required to finish the mission. Example had a mission to find some resource. The mission log just says something along the lines of collect resources for client. I then have to select the mission and close out the menu for a message to show up in the bottom right corner to get the full details of the mission.
  • Base Computer. Everytime my base computer completes its archive search and I return to see what new construction piece it has found I have to select that mission otherwise I only get the option to Rename, Upload, etc for my base. So as usual I walk up to it select it see those options, back out, go into the menu, log, select the base computer mission, close that all out, reclick on the base computer and then read through the archive into.
    • Would also be nice if there was some way to relocate a base. Maybe some resource input to pack it all up, and/or redeploy it. Or the ability to build a new base computer, insert some required # of resources and your uploaded base gets spit back out. Resource quantity might depend on size of base.
    • Ability to have more than one base but maybe only 1 per solar system
  • Terminal text. Please mix up the text a terminals spit out.
    • The abandoned building has the exact same text every time. Mix it up a little please give different reasons the building was abandoned maybe not always have those alien eggs out there
    • Security terminal where you pick the right # sequence. Mix that up a little as well there are basically two options I have seen the rolling # where the first digit become the last digit and the multiplication 1x2x6x24x120 etc. Make me have to think a little not just enter 720 and be done with it. Maybe add some other puzzle formats not just math. Like reorganize a grid to reroute power, open the terminal housing to reconnect a broken display wire, etc.
  • Multi-tool - Ability to buy more than one as well as sell your old one. I have been given a multi tool by at least one NPC that was almost just as good as mine so I turned it down but would be nice to have the option to own two or more and sell them as I desire. Would be nice to maybe be able to carry two as the same time. One geared towards mining and one geared towards offense/defense. Maybe you are only allowed to have 1 rifle and one pistol vs two pistols or two rifles.

There are all I can think of while I sit here wasting time at work. I will admit I have only been playing since it was introduced on the Xbox so a few weeks at most. Great game and I appreciate how much of a pain in the ass it is to do certain things (mine tons of resources, fly to another planet without pulse engines trying to outrun a pirate) and all I seek are options that seem like logical additions.
