Hi. In november i got a gaming laptop to serve as a mobile setup for game recording. Also got a second Elgato HD60S, a FocusRite Scarlett Solo USB 2nd generation Audio Interface and a Sennheiser MD-421-II mic. The laptop is a 8th gen intel i7-8700k, 64gb ram, gtx1070 graphics card.
Problem is, since them, everytime i try to record something using this setup, i get video glitches/audio stuttering that keeps happening throughout the recording at random moments. At the end of the recording it's completely out of sync. The longer the record is, the worse the problem gets. Since it stutters/glitches, it's like information is lost and the video recording ends before the camera recording.
I have made several vĂdeos showing this problem to Elgato. Been trying to solve this for two months now but their support keeps asking me to do the same thing over and over, and it doesn't work.
Here are a sample video. It's in portuguese but i explained the issues in english, hope you can see what's going on (don't mind the dark light webcam or random stuff said, just tried to emulate a real gameplay recording in order to show the issue. Webcam is there to show the desync between camera recording and elgato recording):

This issue makes it impossible to use Elgato HD60S to record anything on my laptop, considering it's random stutters/audio problems, so it's a pain to edit and having to keep cutting stuff/re-syncing throughout the whole video.
So far, here's what i tried:
-
formatting PC twice, a second time with a Windows 10 build before the Fall Creators Update (1709) that apparently screwed the drivers
-
Installed all the newest drivers for focusrite and elgato HD60S, including Elgato Game Capture HD 3.70.8 with support for Elgato 4K capture and the january/2018 driver that should fix any issues
-
Tried to record stuff on C: (same SSD that elgato is installed), D: (different HD)
-
Installed a WEBCAM FIX (https://gaming.help.elgato.com/customer/en/portal/articles/2548731) as suggested by Elgato's Customer Support via e-mail
-
Switched Encoder and Decoder to Built-in Software on Game Capture HD
-
Disabled pretty much everything on Elgato Game Capture HD (video preview, 60fps preview, lowered the quality of the recording to the worst possible, tried to record in 720p, 1080p30, 1080p60fps, disabled flashback recording, transmission command, etc)
-
Made sure every sound source on my laptop is 16bit 48000hz
-
Tried to record using a different USB mic, the Audio Technica AT2020 to see if it was some incompatibility with the audio interface
-
Tried to record using the Elgato HD60S that i have on my main PC (the first one i had), also tried to use this new Elgato HD60S that i bought with the laptop on my PC, and in there it recorded fine.
-
Tried switching USB ports to all combination possible. (btw, the only things connected to my laptop when recording is the audio interface on a USB 3.0, the Elgato HD60S on another USB 3.0 and a XBOX wireless receiver controller on another USB 2.0 port)
-
Tried putting my laptop out of the "energy saving" mode, also all the tests made were with laptop plugged into a power source, to make sure it's running on the top of it's capabilities.
-
Tried to roll back a few Elgato Game Capture HD versions, tested 3.60, 3.50, all showing same problem
-
Tried to install all the updates for windows 10 and make it up to date
-
Tried to install several NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1070 drivers, including the latest one 390.65
-
Tried to record several games, from several sources (Laptop, Switch, PS4, Xbox One), on several configurations (in Laptop's case, tried to record games on Low graphic settings, as well on ultra settings)
-
Tried to run Elgato's Windows Reporter Tool twice and send them the results so they could take a deeper look into the issue
As you can see, im completely desperated, considering i have been trying A LOT of stuff for over 2 months and the problem isn't solved. Since i do this for a living, would be amazing to have a solution that could fix this and give me a smooth experience.
The Elgato HD60S works fine on my PC, tho, and i've been using it for years now since i upgraded from my Avermedia Live Gamer Portable.
The stutter/mic issues happens whatever source im recording. Either gameplays from the PC itself, but also gameplays from Nintendo Switch, PS4 and Xbox One.
I've been trying to find a solution all over internet but apparently, nothing worked so far, and im constantly finding sites/youtube videos that have outdated information.
Can anyone help out?
Thanks!
