I am currently in the process of expanding my system link set up for local multiplayer halo nights. We play halo 3 using odst and ce anniversary, 2 per console on 4 consoles. 2 person split screen seems to be ideal for screen size (mainly 720p projectors), and I want to keep frame rates reasonable so didn't want to do a 4 way split. I anticipate a room full of 16 people next time and am trying to decide how to add more displays given limited space.
I hadn't realised that Xbox one can system link with the 360 on bc games, has anyone any experience with it? Does the xbox one play the 360 games well (ie is it different architecture and therefore emulation)?
If I could add 4 players on one 1080p/4k projector by using the extra power of an Xbox one that would be ideal, but I don't want to invest if it doesn't do it any better than a 360.
Any first hand experience would be greatly appreciated.
