Hi All,
I used to have an original Xbox years ago, it was my favorite console by far. I soft modded it so that I could mod on halo 2 which was fun for a while. Long story short, it got smashed by a friend who to say the least, is no longer a friend of mine.
I've recently bought another one and I'm seeking that nostalgia goodness that I used to know. I plan to install a HDD and a load of games and emulators.
I know the basics and here are some things I've got hold of so far;
-The Xbox it'self with an original controller -A Copy of the original splinter cell -An Xbox port to USB adapter -An Xbox to HD component cable for a 720p output -A HD component to HDMI upscaler for 1080p goodness -A Sata to IDE adpater -A 250GB Sata HDD -A 120GB IDE (backup if Sata doesn't work)
So far I have tried all the USB pens I have, the larger ones don't work as expected. I did get the Xbox to detect a pair of old wireless earphones (with memory built in) but then Xplorer360 told me it couldn't detect any FATX drives (I tried a VM of XP too, no joy). I also tried a 512SSD card with reader but no joy there either. I'm now waiting for a 1GB stick from a friend to try once more.
So, I have two questions really;
Firstly, is it common that the Xbox will detect the pen but then the PC will state no FATX?
And secondly, What else would you guys recommend here that I havn't thought of already?
Happy to post photos and let people know how I'm getting on with this.
Thanks
Spence
