LG OLED: 55EG9A7V vs. 55B7V

My steardy old Samsung Q-series plasma has finally broken and I need a new TV. I have narrowed down my search to either the LG 55EG9A7V or the LG OLED55B7V.

My main source for viewing is a GeForce GT740 graphics card and that is all I will have available in a while, because I cannot afford a new computer as well (my current one won't be able to carry a heavier graphics card).

My main material will be 720p MKV files. I viewed the OLED55B7V in store with a 720p TV channel playing and it did not do the best job of scaling it to 4K. It might have been the source material as well, but I am not sure I can trust a TV (and especially over e.g. Madvr) to do a good job in scaling 720p to 4K.

Madvr might be able to scale it better if I go with the 55EG9A7V and have it scaled to 1080p and my GT740 card might be sufficient in doing so, is my reasoning. The only problem is that I have not been able to find any reviews and - especially not - and recommended picture settings for the 55EG9A7V. This makes me a bit reluctant to go for this one.

Add to this that the OLED55B7V might be a bit of a better TV overall, it should mean that I should go for that one - should it not?

Other notable points: I also game with an Xbox One (first version not the S or X and I won't be upgrading my console anytime soon. I also watch quite a few TV series in 1080p (also MKV files). I never watch cable TV and hardly ever stream via an app; 95 % of my viewing is done via Madvr via my GT740 card. I will not be watching any 4K material anytime soon and the price difference will be that the OLED55B7V is about $200 more expensive for me (so not a great deal).

Give that my main concern is how good of a job the TV will be doing at scaling 720p and 1080p to 4K and that I mostly will be watching 720p material, which of these two should I go for?

Thank you in advance!
