I just got an xbox one x! But I have a couple questions since I only have a 720 p tv right now

So I got the Xbox one x as an early Christmas present which is awesome and I plan on buying a 4K tv in the next couple weeks. Is there any point in setting it up on my 720p tv? What benefits would I gain from playing it on this tv? Anything at all?
