Help to change the way my setup works

Ok, basically I have a PS3 that I dont use that much for a few reasons: - Im more into PC gaming than Playstation, Nintendo, Xbox, etc... - My PS3 is a technologic version of Dory (12Gb wont do a great job) - I dont like playing laying down because for some reason my bladder gets pretty active on those times which is pretty annoying - Despite I have a PS3 whose graphics are, well... Not as great as PS4 for sure but still pretty cool graphics, my old TV is annoyingly terrible, it is one of those boxes with a non flat screen, I have Assassins Creed 4 but I could barelly read the game menus

Ok, for my PC gaming setup everything is coming along great, I got my PC last year its a pretty decent pc, I got a mouse, after that I bought a keyboard and a new mousepad from sales, got a new chair for birthday, not gaming chair but still pretty cool and not so far from gaming chairs I would say and got some razer headsets for xmas. So right now im just missing a support for my headsets, a 3.0 USB Hub with 7 slots and the most important, a new monitor because mine is old, probably not as much as my TV i guess: flat screen, its quite old looking and made with bad plastic material, 60Hz, but more annoying is the resolution, dont remember it right now but I think it is 1024x720 and its annoying to configure some games and many times i get black bars on the game.

So, I decided to play some video games with my girlfriend, she only plays GTA actually but I could play with her or get new games for us but I dont because my PS3 only has 12 Gbs so yeah, I cant have more than one game save on it so I thought I would need an external disk so Im wondering if there might be any problem with any kind of disk or will they all work properly? Sorry for my noob question but im not really well informed about Playstation or Hardware stuff im more into software. Also I wanted a new monitor cause mine only has 1 VGA and 1 HDMI slots and I want one with 2 HDMI slots so I could connect my PC and my PS3 to it. I wanted a reasonably priced Full HD monitor, I would love 240Hz but its way too expensive so I will have to stick with 144Hz or so, I found Asus VG248QE, do you guys recommend it or do you think there are better options? So I want to connect my PS3 and my PC to one monitor to make the task easier but what about the sound? I know my headsets work on PC, Mac, PS4 and Xbox One but will they work on PS3? And will I be able to make the 7.1 surround work on it? Due to the 7.1 my headsets are USB, they connect to normal 3.5 jacks but if I want 7.1 it will have to be trough USB. And what do you suggest me to do because If they work with 7.1 on PS3 I would love to use it however I wouldnt like to keep changing the connection from PC to PS3 and vice versa.

Sorry for the extended post but I have this huge problem that Id love to solve ASAP. Thank you guys for the support! 😉
