Xbox Backward Compatibility

I know its been a bit since E3 but I wanted to see where some others might stand on the topic of "Original Xbox Backwards Compatibility on Xbox One".

Personally, I don't have a ton of interest at this point and am not keeping my hopes very high (Crimson Skies and Fuzion Frenzy don't get me that excited). Don't get me wrong though, I think its great as an idea and the OG Xbox should have a chance at being "preserved" if you will. Tons of great games on the system. I just think that what I hope to have happen versus what will probably happen are two very different things. I made a little bit of a list and I want to see what others think or if you guys agree or disagree with me, if you will.

My hopes: - Don't entirely focus on Microsoft published games (I don't need more Halo or Fable). - Have a big library of 3rd party games (Timesplitters FP, Black, Destroy all Humans, Star Wars Kotor 1+2, etc. just to name a few of my faves). - Have 75-100 games backwards compatible by end of 2018 with more coming. - "1080p" upscaled support for ALL games added, even those that only did 480p/720p back in the day, with smooth 30 fps. - Physical discs do not go up in price. - USB Adapter for OG Xbox controller maybe. - Possible chance for PC version of the Xbox emulator software?

What will probably happen: - Final library size about the smaller than backwards compatibility on 360 but runs better. - Microsoft published games make up vast majority, over 2/3 the list. - Small library of 3rd party games, less than 1/3 the total list. - Physical disc prices increase compared to now, maybe 25-30%?. - No adapter created. - PC emulator continues to elude us that would like it.

Something else I want to add is I wish that Microsoft would just go all out and do what Nintendo is milking right now. Make a Original Xbox classic system! Finally create the slim Xbox many people mod the original to be. Use the Xbox emulator software for the Xbox One and run it on a stripped down Xbox One. Have 40 of the best selling games pre-installed, HDMI out, one controller, and also have a DVD drive to play physical copies. It could sell for $100-150 and I'd buy it. I know I'm just being outrageously optimistic but I wish that would happen. Yes, I also know having a "classic" system is almost the same as backwards compatibility on Xbox One but it would be nice to have a sort of "updated" version of the Xbox on its own that works with old discs AND accessories. Anyway, any comments and thoughts or additions are appreciated!
