Ok so here is the short of it. Purchased the TCL first, LOVED the overall picture quality. It can be VERY bright and it really popped. Input lag was non issue and games felt and looked great. My dealbreaker was that it did not have any form of motion interpolation and I like using that from time to time with certain games that have sub 30 fps.
So I upgrade to the Sony X720e and get everything set up and frankly im pretty disgusted atm. Input lag is NOTICEABLE unless you switch to game mode which then DIMS the screen to unacceptable levels even after tweaking. And there lies my biggest issue. This tv just doesnt POP. Its very dim compared to the TCL. I spent HOURS yesterday playing with settings and cranking everything to its max and its still not luminous enough for me.
I have latest firmware and made sure HDMI ports were set to advanced and have tested the Switch,Xbox one, and PS4. At this point im really tempted to just give up on 4k and just hook my samsung 1080P LED back up that really hit the spot for me. I was hoping for so much more out of 4k but at this point I have a real bad taste in my mouth over it.
Any suggestions?
