If anyone wants a solid 4K TV for under $1000, look no further at this...Only 599.99 at Bestbuy right now.
Rtings review - P607 and P605 are the same, just different remote.
I have been doing research for a solid month on 'rtings' site. For 4K/HDR gaming, this rated top 5 for TVs in HDR gaming with a price range all the way up to 2 grand. It has the lowest lag input as well, ~15-20ms. It has HDR10/Dolby Vision support, 72 local dimming for it's blacks, peak brightness in HDR comparable to $1500+ TV units, 120hz refresh rates, and the Roku smart platform. It's the best rated TV under $1000, blowing away Sony, Samsung, LG, etc. For 4K movies and digital streaming, it's about average, what'd you expect for a TV in the price range of $1000-1300.
Some cons I have gathered from the internet and rtings: upscaling from 480p/720p (like TV shows) isn't the best (but most people won't even care), viewing distances can suffer a bit more than others $1000 more expensive, it's not the thinnest TV on the market (explains the price), it's not an OLED (have fun spending $3000+ on a TV).
Summary I have gathered, for an offbrand TV (TCL), it's probably the best 4K TV under the $1500 price. The only thing that can beat it out is the Sony X900E ($1399.99) as far as gaming goes. That means, I can get a wall mount, a new sound bar, an PS4 Pro or an Xbox One X, this TV for under the cost of the Sony X900E.
What's your 4K TV? Does anyone have this particular model?
