Just wanted to post my thoughts on this combination. After a hiccup or two, including having to restore a snapshot, I got my setup up and running and things work great. I'm still in the process of tweaking things but for the most part, it's awesome.
Obviously you will have to side load Parsec on your Shield TV, and optionally create a launcher shortcut for it. On my end, I did have some firewall issues and had to edit my config file and forward the needed ports.
Once that is done, it is best to use Big Picture mode with Steam and allow Xbox controller configs. May or may not have to do that step but I did it anyway. I would also recommend setting your games up on a device that has a mouse especially for games like Skyrim that put up the graphics options on first boot up. It's just easier.
So far, I've played Just Cause 3 and CS:GO. Everything works as smoothly as GeForce Now and you hardly notice lag. I was really looking forward to trying JC3 since it is a really taxing game, and fortunately it also runs awesome. For now, I have everything set to do 720p since I sit far enough away from my TV that I wouldn't notice a difference.
It still amazes me how far things have come. And it sets the bar so much lower to get into PC gaming. Thanks to the devs of Parsec and Paperspace as well!
