Anyone nice to help me with TV/monitor problem?

Hi guys. I got recently Xbox One S and I play it on my monitor of pc which is 1080p, but Battlefield 1 and 4 play on 720p which is ugly, anyway it's nothing new since that is official resolution, but for some reason when I put my Xone S on TV it runs on 1080p and really does look much better. Now I don't know how I run 1080p BF1 when it's said BF1 on Xone will be 720p... maybe because Xone S is allowing it? But the problem is why is my monitor not running it on 1080p then? Monitor looks better in my opinion than TV. I appreciate any help
