Very Basic Machine for Living Room Gaming

I would like to build a very basic Steam Machine to run my SteamOS games and stream my Windows games to my TV. I don't play very many contemporary AAA games, so the system can be very basic. Xbox360 control. 720p TV as monitor.

Will you be overclocking? If yes, are you interested in overclocking right away, or down the line? CPU and/or GPU?

I'm not interested in overclocking.

Are there any specific features or items you want/need in the build? (ex: SSD, large amount of storage or a RAID setup, CUDA or OpenCL support, etc)

I'd like to meet all the specs of the above linked Alienware and possibility do better (bigger HDD for example)

Do you have any specific case preferences (Size like ITX/microATX/mid-tower/full-tower, styles, colors, window or not, LED lighting, etc), or a particular color theme preference for the components?

I would prefer something compact and would easily fit on most entertainment centers.
