It appears Sony is going to give it another handhelds another shot. This time it will truly be a console on the go. I suspect it will have a 6" screen that displays PS4 games slightly downscaled at 720p. In the past the PSP and PSVita didn't appeal to PlayStation fans because by buying one of those consoles we had to sacrifice graphics and controls(L2,R2, L3, R3 or the right analogy stick) mobile technology has caught up PS4. Also releasing info about the PS4P at E3 would undercut press about the Xbox Scorpio , and it would target the Switch by saying hey you can play all your favorite 3rd party games games on the go. Most of my reasoning comes from the video listed below.

There have been numerous rumors that Sony will release new hardware at E3. Everyone assumed PS5, I suspect PS4P.

One of the developers for Destiny 2 said it Destiny 2 will be fully optimized on the "next" PS4.
