I purchased a Halo/Gears Holiday bundle off of Amazon today, I have been debating for months. I've had a huge urge to replay all the old Halo games, don't care for 343i games. While setting up the Xbox One, it at first was working fine, and I started downloading the first update.
Because it was taking so long, and I only had one HDMI cord, I figured I would screw around and watch some TV while I waited for the download to finish. I unplugged the HDMI cord for a bit, then plugged it back, and got no signal back. So I tried resetting, didn't fix it. Took it to a different TV, didn't fix it. Used a different HDMI cable, didn't fix it.
I proceeded to finally get an image after getting into low res mode by pressing the disc eject button and power button, and then I got an image. Thought I was in the clear, proceeded to set up the console and download the updates fine. However, when I try to set the image back to 1080p, I get no signal again, same with 720p. Have tried multiple cables and tv's and it only works on the low res mode. I broke down and did a factory reset, and it still did not work.
I'm so frustrated, and it has taken multiple hours to do. I'm honestly ready to return it at this point. Can I fix it? Or is it beyond hope?
Before anyone asks, yes the HDMI is in the right port, and I've tried turning the console on and off again, and doing a hard reset multiple times.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've been so bored lately, and this console does cost a lot of money for me.
