I was a child when this generation came about in all it's infancy, i started out on Mega Drive II, then Saturn (short lived) PS1, N64, Dreamcast, then PS2.
And up until 2008 i never touched the XBOX and asking me back then i would deem the PS2 far superior for no good reason.
I now modify the old XBOX as a small hobby, all machines different from the last, clean them up, replace broken capacitors etc.
A video of what my XBOX can do, i use emulators to express it's performance because not only can this machine emulate systems that no other machine in the 6th gen could even contemplate attempting, it does it with upgraded resolutions, 720P and 1080i.
I do have many games on my XBOX, they are simply ripped games from my large XBOX collection in order to preserve the DVD drive for as long as possible.

My phone camera is not great but hopefully people will see how amazing this machine truly is.

The XBOX does not upscale anything, it renders properly at those resolutions, i use a pas through converter for component to gain a HDMI signal and play it through my PC monitor.
Here i take a comparison image of Dead Or Alive 2 on my XBOX system vs my PS2 system, both are hooked up to the same TV using native component leads and no converters.
They are both 480P resolution.

I can also enjoy SEGA games that were never released anywhere else like Panzer Dragoon Orta, Otogi, GunValkyrie.. the list goes on, the XBOX is stunning even now in 2017, i truly advice anyone who is a gamer and into enjoying top quality visuals (for the time) to pick up a cheap XBOX, read up on Google how to maintain the system / repair it, modify it, buy the games off Ebay/ Amazon... be amazed...
