Specific 3.5mm 3 to 4 Adapter? OR Using Tritton 720+ With Xbox One

Hey there!

I'm trying to use my Tritton 720+ headset with my new Xbox One. I've loved it for PC gaming, but I can't seem to get it to work.

I do have a male-to-male 4 contact cable that I can run from the headset in-line controls to the game controller, which gets me audio playback, BUT the mic doesn't work.

As far as I can figure, this may be because the controller expects a 4-contact cable, but the headset only provides 3 contacts. (Though, again, I have a male-male 4 contact cable working for playback)

Is there an adapter that will go from 4-contact 3.5mm jack to 3-contact 3.5mm jack? Or is that a pipedream?

Alternatively, does anyone HAVE this headset and already solved this problem? Everything I search up ends up being applicable only for the 720 (no +) which are a little different, or just end up with working playback and no mic even in their guides.

EDIT: X-Posting to /r/asktechnology cause it seems this sub has very few readers.
