is getting a xbox one s worth it if i already have a decent but not the highest end ever pc?

i know pc and xbox share some/all exclusives now but i still want a xbox one s. i only have a 720p tv aswell though so would it be a waste to get one then if i only game at 720p instead of 1080p res and above?
