Alright all you out there that have more PC experience then me, I need your help! I am trying to figure out the best top settings I can put on my PC. Since I am new to it all I am struggling to find ways to do my settings.
Quick back story, I was a console gamer all my life (30 now), but after buying OW and loving it for Xbox, (was level 340) I decided I needed to REALLY experience OW and get a PC. I bit the bullet and bought a...wait for it...pre-built to start with. Yes, I know pre-builts are usually not the way to go but with my limited knowledge I wanted to start here with something that could get me xbox levels and as I learn gradually build/upgrade my own. It will help me understand the inner workings without trying to guess or google and build.
Anyways I got a computer with a AMD Radeon RX 460, 8GB Ram and FX 4300 Processor. My current Overwatch settings are at the default High and I average around 80-90 FPS during games. However the models still seem somewhat fuzzy from a distance and lag oh so slightly. Are there any things I can turn off or on to make things run a little smoother on the high setting? Can I do the same and maybe go to Ultra and keep my FPS? Its not bad now but I still see a bit of a difference between my Xbox and this PC and I thought this PC could at least perform on par or slightly out perform it.
Some of it might be my monitor as I use a 32in 720p TV so I am looking to get a 1-3ms monitor soon.(Any suggestions?) Could a monitor make that much difference in how models appear on screen? I used McCree a ton on Xbox and plan to on PC so being able to see the best I can from a distance is key.
Does FPS matter over all else and should I drop my settings to Medium so that my FPS will go up or will that makes things look worse? Essentially what I am asking is, is the fuzzyness do to FPS or other settings?
I assume I am somewhat strapped with my computer and that's fine but I want to make sure I am getting everything out of it. If I am stuck with this than that is perfectly fine though, as I just don't want to go on and realize down the road I could get more out of everything.
Thanks in advance for any help! I am loving my PC experience so far outside of trying to learn a KB&M! I have ran into so many walls!
