My take on Switch's sufficient;y good power level Also Joycon Shoulder Buttons spotted

Hello Reddit Here is my Switch Theory

But, First a moment of respect for all the fun we had with NX Theories

Disclaimer, I am studying engineering but I am no expert on modern hardware architectures. But here's my view.

Now,Here I have two links Link 1 http://www.extremetech.com/computing/221532-tsmc-will-begin-10nm-production-this-year-claims-5nm-by-2020 Link 2 http://wccftech.com/nvidia-tegra-parker-soc-hot-chips/

So, link1 states that TSMC will start manufacturing products in 10 nm fab process FROM 2017. Note that. Link 2 states that Nvida will use TSMC's factories

Now, previously some NX info was leaked by a TSMC worker. Whether it was correct or not, I don't remember.

But this adds up to NX being delayed so that it can use the new 10 nm fab process. That could result in much greater performance than the 20 nm manufactured Tegra X1 powered devices.

Now, the other aspect on our hand is the cooling process. Historically the biggest difference between a portable and a non-portable has been whether it is actively cooled or not. This, along with power draw, are major factors for the power level at a point of time with fixed manufacturing processe and architecture.

Now look at what Nintendo has said. They said NS is a home console. And they mean it.

So, when docked, Switch(NX) is not a portable. It has everything a home console has- Capacity to have high power draw {Check} Actively cooled {Check} Connection to TV {Check} Proper Dedicated Controller {Check}

Also, NS has A DOCK, not just an HDMI cable. That makes a world of difference if utilized correctly even if the dock doesn't have processor.

According to Nvidia, Tegra X1 has performance of 500 FP32 Gflops and 1 FP16 Tflops. That was in 2015, NS is poised for 2017. Double that bcoz of previously stated improved fab process and we get around 1 Tflops FP32 performance on the go. Enough to run Xbox One games at 720p and with some power to spare.

AND then that is all with a PASSIVELY COOLED SYSTEM. While actively cooled it could have 50% to 100% more performance. That is enough to run games in 1080p.

Also, I seem to notice a protrusion that could be shoulder buttons on individual joycons. Link : http://imgur.com/1smHKDt

Sorry for the long post. Yours truly A Hyped AF Gamer
