Wanted to share my findings concerning framerate with i7 / onboard Intel graphics

After a few months of play and lots of settings tweaks im finally getting a comfortable frame rate for me to play. 40+ FPS more consistently.

Hopefully there may be something in here that can help someone if their PC struggles due to on-board graphics.

RESOLOUTION - 1280 x 720. This is easier for my laptop to handle rather than full resolution.

VIDEO SETTINGS - all set to low,  apart from Shadow Quality (medium - to stop camo glitch)

& Detail Level (medium - to stop artefacts/see weapons further away)

VSYNC & AA & Motion Blur - off

OTHER TIPS

LAUNCHER - make sure you close the Eldewrito launcher after the game has launched, it stays open for me and costs me a couple %.

CCleaner - I always like giving my system a clean out, clearing your temporary files and a few other unnecessary files I always find boosts my PC performance. (Also close CCleaner properly - these little %'s add up)

ETHERNET - I've found using a Ethernet instead of Wifi helps, I BELIEVE this is because there is a more constant / reliable flow of information rather than the spikes of info you can get with Wifi, I think those spikes are hard for my graphics card to handle so it also spikes, causing stutters/drops in framerate.

I've turned off the xbox app that launches with games on windows 10. I've given up hope of recording.

H3 Armor Mod - now this is a more recent juicier finding. Still in testing for me but I believe there is a definate increase in FPS. I think this is due to smaller texture maps for the H3 armor's rather than the newer HO armor in which they probably had bigger texture map sizes (correct me if I'm wrong /u/dany5639, but my system is definitely finding them easier to run. FMM makes installing mods incredibly easy.

Icebox - I try and always stay away from it, but il always play what the majority vote. beautiful little map, but even some better systems experience framedrops. 15 - 20 FPS most probably due to the realtime snow/fog effect.

Note - would be interesting to know if the realtime snow/fog effect on Icebox could be turned off with a local aesthetic mod/script/command

This post is aimed at people who want to optimise the game and don't mind about tuning down the graphics, its what's working for me + abit of speculation and I welcome anyone to correct me on it, I've put it up here to help, for people that currently have to make do with what they got.
