Hello,
I'm currently gaming on an Xbox 360 using a 22 inch Phillips LCD TV. The TV specs are:
-LCD technology
-1080i/720p resolution
-60Hz refresh rate
-8ms response rate
I'm looking to upgrade to the Xbox One S soon, as going the 4K television/Scorpio route seems too expensive (I'm a student). I noticed that my TV is quite dated, so I'm looking at upgrading my TV in the next month (and using it with my 360 for now - question related to this below). The proposed upgrade is to buy the Ben QRL 2455HM gaming monitor. The specs are:
-LED technology
-1080p resolution
-60Hz refresh rate
-1ms response rate
My questions are:
-Will I notice an increase in picture quality for Xbox 360 games? I've been playing my 360 a lot lately, and will continue to play it for at least another 5 months, perhaps more depending on when I get my Xbox One S. I am quite interested about picture quality. If there is no real difference for the 360, I may wait until Christmas/early next year to buy the monitor which may open up cheaper and better alternatives.
-When I buy the Xbox One S, will the difference in TV be quite noticeable for the proposed upgrade?
-Given the specs of the proposed monitor I chose, are there any foreseeable limitations for console gaming that I should be aware of that I'd be subjected to? I'm selecting the console and TV combination as my first and last purchase for this generation of Xbox consoles, unless I learn otherwise.
For those interested, here are some websites for the TV I currently use and the gaming monitor I'm considering:
