So I bought the HD60 about 7 months ago to capture gameplay on my Xbox One. After finding the sweet spot to record optimally everything was fine. Now about once a month, or sometimes every other month, I have to lower my record quality settings to prevent the capture from becoming choppy and unusable. Whenever this happens I keep the settings at that new optimal state, but once a month I have to lower it again. When I am done capturing I export the files as MP4 and dump them into an external drive, then clear the non rendered files from my Elgato Software. I have always turned off all background tasks, turned off internet connectivity, turned off Anti-Virus and closed all unnecessary windows before opening the program and recording. I initially started at 720 @ 30 fps, Decoder set to Software, Encoder set to software, Video Codec quality set to highest Quality, with card quality set to High. 7 months later I have switched my Encoder to hardware, Decoder still at Software, Video Codec set to Best Performance, card quality set to below Moderate. Any help or suggestions would be welcome!
