[Discussion] Has anyone else noticed a drastic change in the narrative since E3?

Before downvoting please read the whole post, I know people are sick of it (me aswell) but bare with me.

I've only just realized now that we know absolutely nothing about this years E3 in terms of resolution and framerate, this is really strange isn't it? I'm not one for resolution and stuff anyways so I'm quite glad the narrative is back on games (the thing MS has been trumping the past 3 years). However does noone else find it strange that nobody is talking res and framerates any more? Last year, instantly, people questioned whether Forza 6 would be 1080/60. Quantum Break brought up resolution discussions, Gears UE even got flack for not being 60fps campaign for "remaster". Halo 5 got flack ever since the beta. Scalebound last gamescom? Nobody cared about the fucking amazing gameplay (watch it and ignore the E3 showing), it was all about "man that framerate" for a game two years out.

Every E3 and/or games preference, the first thing to come out of it from the media etc was framerate and resolution, remember back in 2013? Nobody cared about DR3, people only cared about 720p. Not a peep about DR4's resolution or frame rate.

This is really strange isn't it? The narrative completely changed over night? Is this an effect from Scorpio and media/the gaming community not wanting to side with Xbox and thus, is, like Sony, instantly dropping the power narrative after Scorpio's reveal? Does noone else think this is a bit sad and pathetic? Xbox has gotten slayed for the past 3 years over resolution and framerate and now nobody even cares now that Xbox is coming out with Scorpio?

I'm not buying Scorpio because Res is irrelevant to me as I'm unable to tell the difference but I do find it amusing how the narrative changed overnight and it's quite an eye opener to over the past 3 years..
