I'm looking to buy a new TV that I would mostly use for Xbox One until I move into a new place where I would use it in the bedroom. I've been looking through mainly Amazon and Best Buy to see what I'd like and I'm having some trouble picking something out.
There's a few issues I'm having with deciding what to get. I'm leaning towards a 1080p (over a 720) but also don't know what size I want. I think a 32" would be small enough to use for games and big enough to see from about 10 feet away in bed, but seeing as how I don't own a 32" TV I'm not exactly sure. The other issue the size brings up is that it makes be question if going for the 1080 over the 720 is actually worth it. I've seen the graph about distance and size and when the difference between the two is noticeable but I feel like I'm right in the middle of that. Despite the graph some people swear you can tell the difference regardless and others swear you can't. There's also the fact that most (if not all) stuff is able to output at 1080p so I think that might be the right call in the long-run. I know there's 4k and HDR now but I don't have anything that supports it, let alone $2000 to spend on one.
Sorry for the long background, but I guess that leads to these questions: Do you all think 32" is an appropriate size? Is the 1080p worth it?
Best Buy has a Sharp 32" 1080p at about $170 that has good reviews and Amazon has a Samsung with the same specs that's right at $200. Is there really any difference between the two? Would spending more money (above $200) make any real impact? I'm planning on using a Chromecast so I'm not looking for a Smart TV or anything like that.
Sorry again for this long-ass post and thanks in advance for the help! I know there's a lot of questions in here so if anyone can answer even one of them I'd appreciate it.
