Anybody use a smaller screen (13 to 29 inch I guess) for gaming? Like a computer sized screen and sit close. I sit at work in front of a computer wishing I had an Xbox controller in hand. Whats the experience like?

Thanks for the replies. I'm gonna try a 24 inch screen. See how that goes. I guess my next question would be - at 24 inch is there any difference between 720p vs 1080p. I've read that anything that size and smaller had no discernible difference.
