Streaming 1080p on the Xbox 360 - which apps and what versions of the console can do it?

Recently upgraded from a 720p to 1080p television. Had always been streaming Netflix and HBO at 720p before. Was expecting better resolution streaming but everything is still 720p.

I've got my console connected via ethernet to a decent connection. HDMI connection. The console is an old 60GB Pro from around 2008/2009 I think, no major issues with the console itself.

Is every version of the 360 capable of 1080 streaming? I haven't been able to find a definitive answer to that question. Any advice?
