My reasons and dreams for this specs This is only a imagination exercise and is obviously is not real since the processor of the Doongle cellphone is just a cheap arm Cortex-A7, and if you want a game whit that you are not going to have games like the N3DS (4.8GFlops), if you see the game Ironfall invasion you can see the possibilities of the power games on N3DS; and we never have seen a game whit the full power of the NewN3DS. About the rumor of the NX being as powerful as the XBOX JUAN and aiming to 900p 60fps, I think that's very tricky; is important remember about the relativity of the graphical power. Cause if we take a game from the Polly station 2 "era" like GTA3 as example, theoretically we can make that game run on 1080p on the PS4 hardware without a problem on solid 60fps, but if we take the same game and run it whit all the existent filters, whit really big textures, particles effects and a looong draw distance, probability is going to be unable to run at smooth 60fps on 900p. There are many games that can run on old computers but if we try run a new game on an old computer we are not going to be able to make it run(obvious) even if we run it at 640X480, the reason for that are the new graphics improvements like bigger textures new filters, just look those videos on the internet of people trying to run Skyrim on cheap tablets. Theoretically if we take the game Mario Kart double dash(a NDS game) and reprogram it to run on the Wii U the game is going to be able to run in 1080p 60fps easily but only if the textures and the draw distance is the original and don't adding any filter, indeed maybe we are going to make it run on 4k with that conditions on the Wii U hardware, and that show how the graphical capability is relative.
GPU Is hard to know what GPU can be used but there aren't many options cause we know there aren only a few companies who do GPU's, so can be an power VR(nihon intensify) an adreno(qualcom) or mali(arm it self), even can be a a vivante cause the last ones aren't so bad or again can be a proprietary(did't you notice about the company who make the GPU for the N3DS just appear and then disappear...), but for sure is not going to be a an intel or a tegra (that can cause some NVIDIA...) high prices is not the Nintendo way. Lets be real the most probable is an AMD GPU, AMD have some time preparing a mix of x86 and arm(AMD is owner of the 5% of the of arm) and that make sense an arm processor whit a "normal" GPU that can be used for a "crosfirelike" whit the main console(from now on called NX_G from "grande" and NX_P from "portable") if the NX_P have 120GFlops that power can be used for the main character and the GPU of the NX_G for the whole game or just help to prevent falls frames from the 60fps (that's why I hope for more GFlops on the NX_P).
Architecture vercion of the processor The architecture of the processor on the NX_P can be an A53, or A32, but is less possible be one of this A35, A57, A72 cause they are costly and new or power hungry, nintendo never bet for something new, they are worried of the "failure factor", just notice: the of the NDS processor was a refined product of a 6 years old architecture(←hint) and when the N3DS came out the processor use a 4 years old architecture(←new hint), the reason for chosing a relative old architecture is simple Nintendo need time for design the console and the devkit, they need calculate the time for all that, calculate the cost and calculate how they rivals/enemies are going to react/attack and how the developer are going see the new product(cry cause they don't understand) also on the general industry future.
Nintendo want: 1.- A mature architecture. 2.- Low price 3.- Low power consumption
-The A32 is almost 5 years old (announced in October 2011) has been wildly used that show his reliability, the A32 can be really powerful, and can have more that 4 cores, and this year has been refined and launched a new version whit a better power management as main feature and that is cause this new version is intended for wearables, and been less watts hungry gain attraction for the nintendo eyes, cause nintendo love low power consumption.
-The A35 is a possible option is not specially popular, but have a 64bit bus and arm stated that the Cortex-A35 is 25% more power efficient than the Cortex-A53 core, and that was known to be more hungry than the Cortex-A7. It's 25% small, more smaller means more space, for other things, the fun here is this architecture is compared whit the cortex-A7 architecture on the arm web.
-The A53 architecture is almost 4 years old now(announced in 30 October 2012), and has been used on many processors, the A53 is a 64bit architecture that can be a great improvement for the programmers, but that is a problem cause is not necessary and nintendo don't like unnecessary things.
-The A57 is relative new and consume more power so is less possible cause nintendo don't like those things, but have a good things on his favor and is one of those who offer high power, have 64bit instructions, also have a great thing on his favor and is this: AMD has announced the opteron A1100 intended for servers on January 2014, so if AMD is the supplier for the CPU then they can use this architecture cause they know this one.
-The A72 is the less possible option cause is new, cost more than the others and the others consume less power, but have a great performance and we want a great performance, also have 64bit instruction set, but yeah this is not going to be the architecture chosen for the NX_P.
The nanometres The process for the processor are going to be 28nm almost for sure cause is cheap the other possibility is a 40nm the same of the Wii U but that and a 32nm process is almost impossible, they use more power for a handheld(and nintendo...). The 20nm is used by almost no one cause there are no much difference in temperature and power management compared whit the 28nm process, 16nm and 14nm aren't discarted but is less possible cause the price, but if Nintendo want to stay on the public interest they need use a energy efficient processor in order to show a good amount of powerful graphics.
The design The console has been described as something like if Samsung & the 2DS have a baby, but that can be just something made for display the capabilities of the console, also mention the 2DS what it means 2 screens(Ahoy). My ideal is something like the N3DS "folder" style(or "clam shell") but more slim, some people don't like that design but that design is pretty popular especially in Japan, indeed the smarphones take a time for being popular on Japan cause they like the "folder" design("barphones" weren't the norm), just see some animes from some years ago and they always show a "folder" phone, the only option for not a "folder" design is a gorilla glass screen, cause I think the reason for the "folder" popularity was cause can protect the screen. • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • The hidden boss

There are no NX_G only the NX_P The screen is 5.5" but is NOT the XL version, is the regular version! And now the handheld is slim whit almost no bezel (freeform display from SHARP)
This scenario can make sense cause: 1.- The console has been described as something like if Samsung & the 2DS have a baby and Samsung is knowed for powerful cellophones, whit powerful processors. 2.- The rumor about the console have a HDMI/WIFI dongle whit the wireless technology of the Wii U controller, for connect into every TV whit HDMI. 3.- What Nizar Romdan director from arm says about the power of arm processors being powerful like the Polly Station 4 and XBOX JUAN. 4.- The legend Saturo Iwata was a geek, the Wii U & the 3ds weren't their ideas, the NX was going to be his first console, since the Wii U wasn't doing very well on the market, the people behind the Wii U on Nintendo can't spoke about the new console too much. 5.- The company SHARP was buy by FOXCONN and FOXCONN is the assembler for nintendo... (◄big hint) 6.- Nintendo have sales problems whit the NON the Game Cube and now whit the Wii U. Nintendo has being dominating the handheld market since the Game Boy and those are years dominating the market, the only not-Nintendo handheld capable of sell good amount of unit was the Play Station Portable, but the games for the PSP did't sell pretty well, the PSP sell good cause it was hackable, have media capabilities and also can handle emulators & PS1 games, for the time went not much people have smarphones was a good investmet. 7.- There are a rumor about the NX have aprox the same power than a XBOX JUAN an even there was other rumor that says the NX aimed resolution is 900p whit 60fps. 8.- The news of handheld whit the same power, or almost the same power of the XBOX JUAN can set the sales on fire even whit a high price that amount of power to go is the actual definition of attraction.
