Hitachi UZ507000 television dropping console HDMI signals after some time

Ello. We just got a new Hitachi 50" LED television (UZ507000) but are unsure what to do with a problem. Both a PS4 and Xbox One stop being displayed after some time, e.g. 10-20 minutes at a time, maybe. The screen defaults back to the bouncing "no signal" message and only seems to correct on turning the tv off and on. Once this occurs, it's "no signal" across all HDMI sources regardless of live input. This has happened with both consoles plugged in via HDMI, both or one turned on at a time, and across different HDMI ports. The PS4, at least, doesn't seem to trigger this issue when left in the console's menu. We haven't got a cable handy yet to try out some plain digital tv but we've given a movie a go (old aspect ratio - movie from '43, 720p) via usb stick with no apparent issues. The tv's firmware is September 2015 and I don't think there's anything more recent available.

What might be going on? Is there possibly a way around the problem in terms of settings or is something just plain faulty and it needs to be returned? Thanks in advance for any info.
