Purchase advice

Hi all,

Need some advice before purchasing my first NAS. Mostly gonna be used as a media server and storage. Must be accessible from outside the network and able to download torrents on its own.

Was thinking of getting a synology as it seems easy to setup and "play" with but cannot really chose between the 216play, 215+ or even the 415+. I don't think I would need a 4 bays but who knows...besides not sure transcoding is really needed as this would be done by the pc or the TV I believe. However, the wife would like to be able to watch her shows on the iPad and her MAC. Players I have besides the ipad would be windows and MAC laptops, ps4, Xbox one, surface RT, Android devices, Chromecast, a raspberry pi and lg TVs. No need to stream more than 2 feeds at a time for the moment.

Most of the videos I have are mkv 1080 or 720p...

Would the upcoming 716+ a better choice? Any idea of a release date in Canada?
