Since 1996 I've had a history of building a new gaming PC just for each major TES - and then Fallout - release. The time has obviously come, but I'm not going to have my new gaming PC until January and my old/current rig was gifted to someone in need.
Now, I own an Xbox One for Killer Instinct. I also still have a laptop with the following specs:
Nvidia 850m 2gb (GDDR3 version) Core i7 4700HQ 8gb ram.
As a given, I will be purchasing Fallout 4 on my new PC once it is assembled. However, as a fanatically enthused fan, I will need to play Fallout on day one to avoid spontaneous heart failure.
Should I buy for Xbox One or my laptop? Which do you think would give a better (temporary) experience?
On the one hand, since I am going to buy for PC anyway, playing on my laptop will save some money. HOWEVER, according to minimum system requirements, my laptop's GPU is going to really struggle. I would like my first few months of FO (I play these games to death throughout all the years between their installments due to the mods) to be as ideal as possible.
So which will do better, do you think? My laptop or the X1?
I know Xbox One will be 30fps, which is terrible, but I don't think my laptop will get past that anyway except on Low quality and 720p...
