I'm really at my wit's end here. My brother runs a Plex server from his home in Austin on a gigabit connection with insane upload speeds. I can access it pretty much anywhere with great quality, except at home connected to my U-verse internet. I have tried via my laptop, phone, XB1, and Roku, and all are incapable of playing even a 1.5Mbps 480p stream without buffering every two minutes. My home connection regularly averages 23Mbps down. If I switch to LTE on my phone (usually around 6Mbps at my apartment) I can stream 720P with no lag and a minimal initial buffer. Try again with a direct connected Xbox or Roku, and it takes almost 5 minutes to initially buffer before playing, then buffers again after 5 seconds.
I have tested this on a variety of internet connections, all with the same result: things that stream almost instant HD on any other connection, choke and die on my home U-verse. I'm hoping someone else has experienced the same issue and has some words of advice for me.
TL;DR - Something about Uverse is crippling my ability to access my remote server. Hope someone knows what to do because I'm stuck.
