[Tech question] I have a 720p monitor for my PC and I use a 1080p TV for playing Xbox ...

When streaming to the 720p monitor it is obviously not the greatest resolution. My questions is: If I buy a 1080p monitor will that fix the issue, OR does the stream quality also rely on my graphics/video card?
