Only getting 720p through US Xbox TV tuner

Hi guys,

I have a digital TV antenna. I used to have the antenna connected directly to my TV and I'd get 1080p resolution on most of what I watched. Now, though, I have the antenna connected to the Xbox via the US TV tuner and I only get 720p resolution on everything. Is the TV tuner only capable of otuputting 720p or is there something wrong with my setup?
