So It looks like there are a lot of reports with rumors and what not going around of what the next Galaxy Note 5 is going to be like. I wanted to keep this sub purged of all crappy blog posts of duplicated speculation of the same information.
This sticky is going to be for the completely confirmed information information from one source or another. No more rumors, just straight up news. With all of that said lets pack up and get moving!
Phone Details
Is should be common knowledge by now that the phone is going to be called the Galaxy Note 5. There is not going to be an "edge" version just yet. In fact, it is speculated that there is going to be a "plus size" of the Galaxy S6 (known as Project Zero 2) which will be roughly the same size as the note but will sport the "edge" design.
Screen
The Note 5 is going to be presenting an UHD display at 2160 x 3840 with an insane amount of PPI (740+). Remember the "Edge" variant is going to be the Galaxy S6+ version. There is going to be some debate about how this is going to drain battery, etc but what people forget is that with the increased screen and pixel density, comes optimization of that technology and less electricity draw.
Chipset
Sam Mobile is going to explain this way better than I ever could:
...the Galaxy Note 5 will feature 4GB of LP-DDR4 RAM. The Exynos 7422 SoC, that will debut with the Galaxy Note 5, will be the company’s first true single-chip solution (ePOP) combining an octa-core 64-bit CPU, GPU, RAM, storage, and the Shannon 333 LTE modem in the same package.
Battery
Sorry boys and girls. The battery is going to be sealed into the case. It will have a glass and aluminum back, just like the Galaxy S6 line up. All of this is coming from the leaked CAD drawings. This does not mean that the Galaxy Note 5 will be SD card featureless. There could still be a side load option, similar to how SIM cards are loaded into most phones. There is nothing concrete here obviously... just prepare for the worse.
RUMOR: Rumors are still saying we are going to be sitting on a 4,100 mAh battery which so far is the largest native battery in the industry (with the Huawei Ascend Mate 2 leading the pack with a 4,050 mAh battery). Nothing 100% yet though.
Camera
Still nothing confirmed here. Rumors say its going to be a 16MP back, 8MP front facing with OIS. We will have to wait and see.
