Today I happened to notice that the two apps were giving me vastly different results. Lately, I've mostly been using MyFitnessPro and the Pacer addition apps to keep track of my food and exercise, and haven't had any issues with it.
However, I have a Galaxy Note 3 and knew about Samsung Health, which I tried for a bit. I didn't hate it, but after poking around here on Reddit when I got serious about trying to lose weight, MFP was the app that came most highly recommended. Today I happened to try both apps out just to compare them, and got radically different results in calories burned and in the amount of miles I walked.
Samsung Health is reporting that I'm burning twice the calories that MFP is. Today, for example, MFP told me that I walked 12,522 steps, which is 5.8 miles and burned 645 calories. However, Samsung Health is reporting that I walked 12,350 steps, 6.37 miles, and burned 1,236 Calories.
I'm not sure which one is the most accurate, and considering that I'm thinking of doing the MFP subscription soon I wanted to be sure that it was accurate before I started shelling out money.
