This is for a friend of a friend who has never built before. I've submitted this to the pcpp forums and gotten some feedback there which I've already incorporated.
i feel like this is pretty solid but since it's not my money being spent, I can't be too careful!
A few notes:
- I went with Z-series mobo and K-series CPU for light overclocking.
- I went with the current cooler instead of my previous choice, the 212 evo, based on some recommendations and reviews.
- I'm not married to the case, I just chose it for good cable management and price. It fits the needs.
- I'm concerned about the adequacy of the power supply. I believe it meets current needs but will it be good enough if OC'ed? I'm not experienced with OCing.
