First off. This bug is not beneficial. If you are looking for a way to abuse it you are in the wrong place.
Secondly. It probably has a similar effect on other skills if their duration is longer than the cooldown however, I don't have any other skills there yet so I can't test that.
My setup:
Overseer's Lotion: 10
Ogre's Gauntlet: 136
Shadow clone duration: 00:7:17
Shadow clone cooldown: 00:05:00
How to reproduce (I have done it several times in the last hour for testing):
I activate Shadow Clone and the timer starts counting down. At this point while the skill is active, before It finishes the 5:00 cooldown in the background, I can tap the skill again, and nothing happens. When my Shadow Clone timer is at 2:17 the 5:00 cooldown of the skill has finished and the skill is still active. If I tap shadow clone at this point, the button resets and it is clickable for me to reactivate it (shadow clone is still running though). I reactivate shadow clone and it shows a duration of 7:17 (So far, everything is happening as expected except shadow clone not stopping when I tapped the skill at 2:17 to reactivate). However, when my shadow clone reaches 3:38 the skill shows it is still active and counting down, however there is no shadow clone attacking. If I click on the skill again it immediately goes innactive and shows a cooldown of 1:19.
I tested a similar instance where instead of clicking it right at 2:17 when the cooldown finished. I waited until 1:30 remaining. The skill had the same result, stopping at 3:38 remaining.
How did I come across this? Well, sometimes I might go 20 mins or an hour without looking at what the game is doing. I have it running next to me. Sometimes I look over when shadow clone only has < 2 mins left on it. I want to reactivate it right then to maximize its duration if I don't look over again for 10 minutes or so.
Eventually I want to get shadow clone lasting 15 minutes and then 20 minutes...etc. Who knows what kind of effect this would have at that level.
