All my roku 2s have poor bandwidth from a local plex server. They all stream from amazon in 1080p fine but report ~3mbps for plex according to roku logs. The roku2s are wireless but report excellent connections ~144mbps.
Xbox one streams fine, ipads too so it doesn't seem like a server issue. Transcoding vs direct play doesn't matter but downgrading to a 720p stream usually makes a stream watchable.
I'm thinking it's a problem with the actual roku channel but haven't come up with a way to validate that. I've had this problem off and on for a year depending on the file being used. Any thoughts?
