As it stands there are a lot of people out there who are very unhappy with the performance of this game on the Xbox one. 64 player modes are unplayable for some and 40 man isn't much better. Since the recent patch 'TAA' has also been increased leading to noticeable frame rate dips in the smaller modes that managed to previously maintain 60fps (or near enough). The larger game modes consist of huge disparities between framerate skipping from 60-sub30 which just isn't enjoyable.
To quote someone who responded to a thread on the forums who managed to say what I have been trying to much more clearly.
"Developers know what hardware they have to play with. Yes, they can let loose on PC, as there is the potential for more available power, and that's always been the case.
But developers know what limitations they have on consoles, so they develop accordingly. Either by reducing resolution (720p vs 1080p), or with reductions in fidelity (AA, SMAA, etc.). In exactly the same way you can tweak the graphical settings on PC, to cater for different power machines, the consoles should be wound back to the point where the game is playable, and has a sustainably high frame rate.
What Dice need to do is to reign back some of the settings, or at least give users the option to improve their frame rates."
What I suggest to DICE is giving the option to tone down AA settings on the consoles for those who prefer to play at a higher frame rate. Just as they have added FOV, this would be such a good step in the right direction.
If I owned a PC with the same power as the Xbox there is no way I wouldn't reduce everything until I got a steady 50-60fps.
If anyone knows any way I could contact the developers regarding this, it would be great.
