So I'm currently gaming on a 1080p tv which is great! I can kick back on the sofa with an Xbox controller and everything looks great.
For keyboard and mouse gaming, for work, and for general browsing I'm using a 720p square office monitor. It's absolutely terrible. I'm looking at replacing the monitor with a 1440p screen and am considering ultrawide. I have a few reservations I hope you guys could help with.
First I'm worried that my games won't run on it. I've heard people say that some games don't support ultrawide or are buggy. How true is this and how many games actually have an issue?
Second I'm concerned about performance. 1440p ultrawide is a lot of pixels! I'd like to keep games at ultra settings and maintain 60fps but I'm kinda worried that won't be possible. I'm currently running a single 980ti. Will I be needing a second card?
