I finally got around to setting up OBS on my new PC and I noticed, while being a much higher spec than my previous, it wasn't performing how I thought it should. To start, the specs:
- Intel Core i5 6500
- MSI H110M Gaming (Mobo)
- EVGA GTX 950 OC
- 8 GB DDR4 2133 MHz
I'm running OBS Studio 64-bit, streaming at a 3000 bitrate, using x264 encoding. My initial resolution is 1920x1080 and I down scale that to 720p.
I tested it by recording some CSGO gameplay at 720p60, and it was laggy for the most part. Even when playing Xbox and only using my PC for the recording/streaming, it yielded the same outcome.
I have NOT tried using Nvidia's encoder yet, so that's one thing I'm willing to try when I get back home, but does anyone else have issues like this? How can I fix them? What other information can I give to help you out??
