New to 4K and upgrading console and TV. X or S?

So, the situation is I have an Xbox One. The OG. I have always played it on an old 32” Samsung 720p TV. Got these in college and it’s been doing fine for me. Well, I bought a house. While I’m at it I’m going to upgrade my TV to a big 4K tv because I have a big living room now. I have exactly zero experience with 4K but I’ve always been a big gamer with the set up I have. I also have a baby on the way, and though my job pays well I’m spending a ton of money in the next few months and this will be my last big, fun purchase for a while. My question is, if I’m getting a 4K TV is it worth spending a couple extra hundreds for the one X? Is there going to be THAT much of a difference between the OneS and the OneX on a modern 4K Tv? I’m a bit of a graphics whore and I’m don’t feel like I’m getting my money’s worth out of Origins right now. I keep hearing how great it looks and I’m just, not impressed.

Also, any good 4K tv options around the 1,000USD mark? Should I just get a nice 1080p TV and the One S? Or a 4K and let the one S upscale?

Thanks for the help guys, I know this is a long boring walk of text.

Edit: forgot to mention, I cut the cable and will be using the console for SlingTV as well as Netflix and movies. I’ve looked at reviews online and I’m still on the fence, just hoping someone can nudge me one way or the other. Not trying to be obnoxious or anything!
