Trying to find a TV, and failing - help!

I spent an hour last night and two hours this morning combing through TV specs on Best Buy, Amazon, and Samsung's own site, as well as reading various TV reviews, and I'm still not finding what I need exactly. Hoping someone here can help. Here is what I'm after:

  • 37 or 39 inch HDTV (need these somewhat specific sizes to maximize the available space in a media cabinet; 40 inch models are a little too wide)

  • 3+ HDMI ports

  • digital audio output so I can hook up to a sound bar

  • good picture quality/decent blacks

  • Don't really care about: refresh (60Hz is fine; if anything I think I prefer motion blur for most purposes), resolution (I'd take 1080p if I could get it, but 720 is fine too), built-in sound (will be using a sound bar), smart (I have an XBox One and a PlayStation 4 to run apps already)

Any suggestions? Closest I've found is a Vizio 39" which has good reviews but only offers 2 HDMI ports, and an Insignia 39" which has mixed picture quality reviews and apparently takes a long time to power on (that doesn't excite me; I'd prefer a responsive "dumb" TV over a sluggish smart one). I'm tempted to make do with the Vizio and an HDMI switch, but at the same time I figure if I'm buying a new TV I might as well try hard to get the right one.
