Periodic Massive Video Lag

So I've had a few troubles with initially trying out the Link (audio lag, crappy video quality, etc.) but all of these things I've either fixed through tinkering or have seemingly been resolved through updates. One problem that persists, however, is occasional video lag.

This seems to crop up every 10 minutes or so, but no consistent pattern is immediately obvious, though it does seem to become more frequent the longer I play. Essentially, I'll get hiccups where the video stream seems to halt completely. The game audio will still play unhindered, and the game still seems to accept input (I'll find myself across a room or at the bottom of a cliff when the video catches up) but the screen is completely frozen during this time. What's more, these moments of lag tend to be extremely long, sometimes taking half a minute or more (not exaggerated; 32 seconds was the longest freeze) for the video to resume, at which point it syncs back up with the audio seemingly immediately.

What baffles me is that this is virtually the only problem I have; I have no more audio delay, virtually no input delay, and apart from these freezes, games will run at a buttery smooth 60fps at 1080p (tried dropping the resolution down to 720p but this seems to have no effect).

Steam link is plugged directly into the router, connected to host pc via powerline adapter. Home internet is reliable, no problems with other streaming functions (media streaming to xbox 360 from same host pc is flawless). Is this something to do with the steam link itself that might be fixed, or is this simply a network issue that I probably won't be able to resolve?

Thanks,
