ISP: Comcast (75 Mbps down/ 10 Mbps up) Router: Comcast provided ARRIS TG1682G
I recently got this service and some of my devices seem to see major slowdown. Any speed test will show anywhere from 75-90 Mbps down and 10-15 Mbps up, but some devices will have slow internet, for example my LG G4 on the 5Ghz network not being able to even load a YouTube video, and if it does it can't sustain 720p. I do have multiple devices on at once, usually an Xbox One or 360 hooked on LAN playing online or watching Netfilx, a Wii watching Netflix, and 2-3 phones or a laptop trying to access social media or YouTube. Even with only 1 phone connected and idle and my Xbox One trying to use YouTube, YouTube won't load. Accessing emails, Twitter, and Reddit is slow, and I can't seem to find out the reason unless the router just has horrible bandwidth management. The Subnet mask is 255.255.255.0, if that makes a difference, and according to my Wifi Analyzer our router is the only one using any 5Ghz channels in the area around my house(which is what our phonesand laptop are connected to). Any ideas or suggestions to fix the problem?
